The vertical growing system (VGS) is a high density growing
sysem for many crops including strawberries, lettuce, herbs and foliage.
From the smalest size tower of 5 pots to 130,00o plants per acre the VGS
is essentially the same design and same pot. The insulated EPS patented
pot stacks and rotates for maximum production. One tower of 10 pots, whcih
is about 7.5 feet high, contains 40 plants in less than one square foot.
No other Hydroponic or Organic system can boast this density. The indoor
system density can be as high as 400,000 plants per acre as with Basil and
the outdoor system is 100,000 plants per acre for strawberries, herbs, greens,
spinach and lettuce. The indoor, or greenhouse, system can be re-circulating
hydroponics or drip irrigation with a single pass through. |
